I understand that going to a new salon can feel a little intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. Here’s some additional information to help make your first visit as seamless and comfortable as possible.

Communication

  • Email/Text Notifications - You’ll receive a confirmation 5 days before your appointment and a reminder 24 hours before your appointment.

  • You can use the email confirmation to log in and reschedule your appointment anytime up until 24 hours before your appointment time.  If you need to change your appointment within that 24 hours, please contact me at luminaryhs@gmail.com.

  • ​If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me at luminaryhs@gmail.com and I will respond within 24 hours Tues-Sat.

Preparing for your Visit

​• Ideally, you would come for your first visit with your hair styled the way you typically wear it.   This enables me to observe any challenges that need to be addressed and make recommendations based on your goals and lifestyle.

• Please dress comfortably so you can relax during your appointment.  To ensure your clothing remains dry and stain free, avoid wearing bulky necklines (like hooded sweatshirts & turtlenecks).  You will also have the option to change into a kimono.  Unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for any clothing that is damaged while in the salon.

• I accept all major credit cards, Apple/Google Pay, Zelle and cash.  Please note that I do not keep cash on hand and will not be able to make change.

Parking and Arrival

• Luminary Hair Studio is inside Legacy Salons and Day Spas.  There is ample parking in front of the building, which faces Ace Hardware.  The small parking lot on the street side of the salon is an employee-only entrance.

• When you enter the salon, you will turn right and my suite (40) is on the right.  Please feel free to have a seat at any of the seating areas in the hallway, and I will come and get you.

Policies

  • My studio space is cozy and can only accommodate 1 client + 1 guest.  Due to the chemicals and hot tools used in the salon and potential for injury, please consider making other arrangements for children.

  • I totally understand that life happens and appointments may need to be cancelled or rescheduled from time to time.  To allow enough time for your appointment to be offered to other clients, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you won't be able to make it for your booked time.  Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed appointments, will result in a re-booking fee equivalent to $40 per hour booked.  During the holidays (11/1-12/31), 48 hours notice is required to avoid incurring a fee.

  • Services for clients running late will be adapted to fit the remaining appointment time without adjustment to pricing.  Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require the appointment to be rescheduled, and re-booking fee will apply.

  • I want you to LOVE the results of the services that I provide. If you are having challenges with your cut, color or styling at home, let me know within 7 days of your visit and I am happy to correct any reasonable issue at no additional charge.

  • If you find that you are unsatisfied with a product that you have purchased from me, let’s find something better for you! Exchanges at full credit are accepted if you notify me within 7 days of your initial purchase.

Schedule a Consultation

Consultations are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays by appointment. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to book your consultation. This charge can be applied to your bridal package once you secure your wedding.
